As you can see in the photo of the lid there is a plastic part that has a thread to screw the lid onto jars and it's removable huh The problem seems to be that these banks are tightly closed. If you try to pour some liquid or liquid inside, the lids will leak. I bought these to ferment chicken feed for our flock and ended up with a mess all over the counter because there was liquid in the jars as the feed expanded. sentence is good. However, I find these jars a bit overpriced given the quality of the lids themselves. I paid $22 for 6 cans and believe a fairer price for cans of this quality would be closer to $12 ($2 per can).
