I bought this cable to try and fit a DisplayPort cable that is sticking right out of the back of my monitor. The monitor has a VESA mount, so I'd like to hang it on the wall, but unfortunately all the connections are on the back and get in the way. I thought that would be the solution. nope! While picture quality was exactly the same using this adapter, the right side of this adapter sticks out just as much as the original straight plug I was trying to adapt. So for my purposes this is basically pointless. I'm not entirely sure what the point of having a right angle when it sticks out the same way as a straight one. It would be helpful if the pictures showed the exact dimensions of the ends. Will return.
