I've had both the F300 and F500, I sold the F300 because of its relatively flat little palm rest in the button area and it just felt uncomfortable due to the sloping front. Others may not notice or pay attention, but it always seemed to me that something was wrong. Now I have two F500. large flat surface for both hands. People with small hands may find it very handy. In terms of joystick and button quality the F500 also feels better, I've played with both side by side and the F500 felt more responsive perhaps due to its better parts or circuit board. Please note that I bravely used both joysticks for computer games and retro. Emulation, so I can't comment on its performance when using the console. I would save money and take the older brother instead. For my use I don't feel I would or should use a high end combat joystick, of course they are better and have some Japanese parts but for non-competitive play they both work fantastic.
