I wear a size 11 wide or EE, I checked the reviews and photos to see if it was wide enough for my foot . I've tried them and this is my experience. The insoles are thick, soft and comfortable, but thick, they can be swapped out to free up space in the shoe. The toe box is wide enough for my foot, there is some arch support but not enough if you are on the heavier side. The outsole feels durable enough for most surfaces. The canvas is stiff out of the box but softens as you wear it. The main problem I had with my feet and shoes was the instep, it's tight even with the elastic, hopefully it will loosen up, if not I could just take a pair of scissors and cut the elastic. I use thick winter socks to break them in. I plan to use them without socks. If you have average skinny legs, they may be too wide for you. Please note that Crocs has different variants of the Santa Cruz model. Of the different variations, this model is the widest. There are also no 1/2 sizes so if you are 10.5 get 11, if you are 11.5 get 12, always choose the next full size up.
