I bought 2 of these for a number of reasons, the main reason being to house my cats as I had a check in my apartment. I also use it to introduce my new kitten to my older cat. It tends to curl up when your pet is too boisterous. However, my two cats have tested them and I can say 100% that they are scratch and bite resistant. My kitty tried to scratch it for a good 10 minutes and couldn't get through no matter how hard he tried. I love them and recommend them.
