Difficult to read controls

I bought this unit (version with a recorder) to hit my meter. However, before deciding to keep it, I tried using it. I was disappointed that the controls are small and not particularly well laid out. The touchscreen has no tactile feel (typical of touchscreens) so you can't tell when you're on it. Graphics are small and dark; and they don't light up to help you find them. At a certain age I need magnifying glasses, which are very helpful but have to bend down to focus every time I want to make changes. Also, the controls on the touchscreen aren't grouped logically, so you'll need to know where each item is if you can't easily make out the small faint icons. The temperature display is clearly distorted, but according to the manufacturer of the induction blocks, it should only serve as a guide and is not accurate. However; They're repeatable, so you can figure out which temperature gauge gives you the result you want, and then adjust it next time. All in all, this device worked well and had three features that I wanted - they don't usually come together in one device. I wanted all three controls; Power, temperature and timer. He had all three, for which I give him high marks. Comment: Why do we need temperature and power controllers? Isn't it good enough? Induction burners have a distinct advantage over previous gas or radiant electric ranges - they allow for power adjustment (increase or decrease flame/heat). With traditional ovens, you change the wattage to affect the temperature, but you control the wattage, not the temperature! Now think about driving. You set the power level with the throttle, but you control your speed by modulating the throttle (power). When you enable cruise control, it modulates power to maintain speed and adjusts power as needed. (corresponds to temperature control). Example - when you cook rice, you can set the cooking temperature and if you forget to check the rice after 20 minutes and the water boils away, the rice will not burn because the element does not exceed the set temperature. A conventional burner can ignite rice under similar conditions. The timer is also a real benefit. He might turn off the rice after 20 minutes, so you don't have to think about that! All three controls are really useful and are usually only found on small worktops, not large 4 burner induction worktops - otherwise I would buy one of these! Maybe in a few years someone will make a 4 burner countertop (or a full range) that has all three controls. I have not found such a device yet!
