I used this as a front camera for an old classic car. I needed a front camera to park in tight spaces. Installation was very easy and I am very happy with the product. You need a receiver/monitor to connect an RCA cable to adjust the camera view. I have a Kenwood DDX394 and it worked great. If you want to use a rear view camera, you can run the cable through your car's headliner. You want to get a diagram of the back of the car so you can figure out where the wires and cables need to be routed now.
