Description of ๐ŸŽง Bose Proflight Series 2 Aviation Headset - Bluetooth Connectivity, Dual Plug Cable, in Black

Proflight Series 2 includes a thinner, lighter and more flexible cable, updated tap control for talk-through communication, and an easily adjustable mic. Engineered for pilots of moderately noisy, pressurized Turbine-powered aircraft โ€“ built upon the technology of the original proflight. The smallest, lightest, most comfortable Bose aviation headset. Innovative design and 4. 5 ounce (128 gram) on-head weight keep pilots comfortable, even during extended flights. Digital active noise cancellation reduces noise so users can lower radio volume and hear what they need to hear.

Almost everything about these headphones is great, but there is one thing that makes these headphones terrible. A real kidney stuck in your ear is extremely uncomfortable for more than an hour at a time. If you're flying longer than 1 hour, I'd try them first before spending a thousand dollars on them. I have tried all three sizes and they are all uncomfortable. Bose has a special patented eartip cover with a hard plastic core that is the cause of the uncomfortable feeling. If you try otherโ€ฆ

Airline Pilot Approved

I'm an airline pilot. This headset is a game changer. I love being able to pick up an earpiece and speak to crew members who don't want to wear headphones on a cruise or speak to the flight attendants at the gate. I use the Bluetooth feature 24/7 to call for maintenance at the gate and have my hands free to fill out a maintenance log, go through checklists etc. The noise cancellation is great but I don't think it will work with anything but one Jet. They seem a bit fragile so I handle themโ€ฆ

Works well in cockpit 767 and 757

Noise canceling works great (B767 and B757). Blue Tooth worked well with iPads, iPhones and iPods and sounded great for calls, videos and music. At the maximum noise-cancelling setting, the headset produced background noise/whistle unless my airplane speaker was turned off completely. I would like the cable/mic mount to have a flexible connection to allow the shoulder cable to be rerouted to the top and bottom connection points and also allow for a smaller footprint and storage pocket. In fact,

Another excellent Bose product.

Use: 767, cargo operations Pros: light weight, good ANC if you get the right headphones. I needed a large one in one ear and a medium one in the other. I think he dropped too many volumes on my head as a kid. Tapthrough works great now. The only issue I've had is that ANC sometimes deactivates when you're chewing, which almost all of us loaders do on the fly. Bluetooth is AWESOME in all modes. The battery lasted longer than the advertised 45 hours. Easy to store in a new large suitcase. Consโ€ฆ

Bose QC20 noise canceling is better than Proflight

I have a Bose 820 I also had a Bose X Aviation headset I also have Bose QC 20 headphones so I was absolutely amazed when I saw this new Aviation Headset bought that the noise cancellation doesn't quite match all other Bose products as it has a background hiss which is very noticeable and actually annoying in the cockpit. I've heard this hiss on other products in the $250-$500 range, but over $1,000, and the fact that Bose doesn't have this issue on any of their other products is quiteโ€ฆ
