Almost everything about these headphones is great, but there is one thing that makes these headphones terrible. A real kidney stuck in your ear is extremely uncomfortable for more than an hour at a time. If you're flying longer than 1 hour, I'd try them first before spending a thousand dollars on them. I have tried all three sizes and they are all uncomfortable. Bose has a special patented eartip cover with a hard plastic core that is the cause of the uncomfortable feeling. If you try other silicone tips, they won't fit properly and will eventually fall out. Otherwise, the sound engineering is first class. Very quiet. I recommend trying this set and the A20 on-ear headphones and then moving on. Good flight!
