Right now I can't even appreciate the comfort of this pillow because I can't shake the most nasty chemical smell I've ever smelled in my life! I've smelled bad smells from various mattresses and other things before, but never anything like this. I washed my hands with soap several times but the smell still lingers on my skin. When I unpacked the pillow, it was completely stuffed. I removed some of the foam and put it in the included pouch to hold the extra foam, knowing I needed a thinner pillow. I couldn't complete the process because I was too overwhelmed by the smell. I lightly spritzed some Febreze on the outer cover, put the pillow in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet and set it on low heat for a few minutes hoping the smell would dissipate. Fail. So I put a cushion on a chair on the patio where it was 103 degrees and left it there for 5 hours hoping the chemical smell would dissipate. Fail. So far no improvement. If that awful smell is still there in the morning, it will come back. I can not handle this. If it goes away entirely, I'll come back and check the pillow for comfort. For now, SHE will sleep alone in my garage tonight. Update: The next day after this pillow spent the night in the garage I went there to check it out. I smelled him as soon as I opened the door. Just as strong as the day before. It all ended here for me. I went to UPS to ship it back. Too bad because I think it would be the perfect pillow for me, but only if it didn't give off such a disgusting, unpleasant smell.
