The only blade I use in my OLFA 1072198 LA-X 18mm fiberglass utility knife with rubber grip. I mainly use it to break open boxes. It cuts cardboard of any thickness like butter. It makes it safer and easier for me. No more tugging or repetitive chopping like I used to do with my previous cheap utility knives. A gentle line goes through each box. I have also used it to cut styrofoam and styrofoam, as well as all kinds of ribbons and ropes. A blade will last me a very long time. It's also safer for me to switch to a new blade. I just hold it with pliers and push to snap off the old blade and the new blade is ready to go. The razor-sharp blade in the cutter does not need to be lifted and replaced.
