I bought this machine to make pepper aioli and other small batches of sauces/marinades. It has a separate blender and cleaver. When I first used it, I chopped up a lot of fresh basil. It worked really well and saved me loads of time. When I made aioli, I actually used a cutting blade and haven't tried a puree blade yet. I expect to use it quite a bit for chopping herbs, freezing garlic/butter etc for the upcoming gardening/canning season. I am very happy with the processor. One thing I noticed is that the bowl and lid aren't really a heavy plastic material (like my full size food processor) so I'm pretty careful not to drop it as I think it could potentially break easily . For me, this is a small drawback as the costs were minimal.
