It came quickly. I was afraid that 11 amps would be too heavy. But I wanted it to be quick. My main job is to grind the deck to get a new vacancy. They have about 4-5 layers of different things. This 60 grit grinder works great. Thoughtfulness. I was thinking of a 3" (cheaper) but figured it would cover less ground. My boards are about 4" wide. Get that now - most deck boards will be CUP. And it's a bit difficult for me trying to sand the center of the cup with a 4" tool. I find lifting one side works well, but this wears the belt faster as it makes a rough edge. As I worked I was wondering whether the 3 inch hits the cup better and is faster in the long run? (Only to consider if you are not working on a perfectly flat (table) surface. At first I seemed to expect more speed. (8.8 amps instead of 11 ) I'm using it at the max speed of "5" and I seem to want would be 8-9-10 but don't worry it worked fine ) While the cable still works despite being cut last time around showing the wires in my comment would am the smaller brand Chew power cord (a little tape and still good) works quick and easy, the feather duster works pretty well even when full of dust isn't too bad on this particular job (dust could be from paint rather than wood so probably why) 4 Hours later - I was glad I had the 8.8 lighter and not a 15-pound, 11-amp amp, which I'd also kept on the deck ceiling to sand down the seams on the circuit board blanks that have swollen over the past decade. Good size, weight and does the job. Consider 3 inches if you have very cupped boards or other uneven surfaces. ODD that it doesn't have a grounded AC plug, only 2 pins? - and I use it outdoors (just carefully).
