If you use this product after bleaching your hair to correct orange and yellow tones, your hair is likely too damaged and lacking the protein needed in your strands to bind to the color molecules in this mask . I have incredibly porous hair and it takes about a week for TLC to rebuild enough protein in my hair after bleaching for the color to take color. I've had full color lifts at professional salons in the past and my hair will do it. no Take. Toner. Or. Colour. Immediately after bleaching. Not enough protein is needed to bind tonal or colored molecules. I used this product right after at home teeth whitening and in fact it did nothing; BUT, having paid $300 for an all-orange head in the past, I knew my particular hair situation could be more complex and unique, so I decided to give myself copper highlights for a week while aggressively attacking my hair restoration. . Coconut oil, hair conditioner at night, Olaplex at night, everything I needed to reconnect and replace the protein in my hair. And so a week later I reapplied this mask but left it on for 25 minutes before washing it off and my copper stings were almost completely gone. I had a gorgeous beige blonde and tan. I still have some "hot spots" so I'll probably be making this mask regularly while my hair grows back, but please understand that in theory this product works; So if that doesn't "work" for you, chances are your hair condition is a total mess combined with possibly natural porosity, and you need Protein + Rebonding before that kind of thing works. 10/10 I will buy again.
