Review on PHF Velvet Heavyweight Bedding Burgundy by Isabella Baez

Ignore most 1 star reviews!

Many people don't realize that a buttoned duvet cover requires an actual comforter/quilt. Most of the 1 star reviews are from people who thought he was as fluffy as the photo showing him with a blanket inside. The product description is clear, so I think these reviews are unfair. There are also many complaints that there are no screeds for the corners, but I had them. If yours doesn't, the large safety pin inside where it's stowed will hold the duvet in place just as well. Several people commented on the smell which bothered me as I have a very sensitive sense of smell but it was perfectly normal. After washing it didn't smell. The only valid complaint might be the color. Mine was burgundy/rose gold and it's perfect. He is so soft and wonderful. My cat likes it too, it doesn't stick as easily and the cat hair doesn't seem to stick to it. I accidentally bought a king and not a queen but put the quilt to the side and it works fine. The royal cloaks are so big I'm going to cut some fabric off the ends and make lumbar pillows. I can't believe what a great value this is, a complete upgrade from our other duvet. Even my husband likes it a lot, although he says that the color takes some "getting used to" (our old one was white). If you are looking for a soft, luxurious velvet duvet cover at an affordable price, look no further!

Pros
  • Elegant appearance: velvet fabric with special processing is characterized by amazing light and shadow effects. Especially in the bedroom, the solid color duvet cover shows a contrasting half-light half-dark look in the night lighting, adding extraordinary style and luxurious charm to your bedroom.
