The product is well made and versatile. Good for light applications. I bought these mounts for my 4ft 5150 LED whips and the rubber inserts are too soft, wrinkle and jiggle as the whips flex back and forth from riding and eventually snap it all together. I replaced their rubber with hard plastic from work and the mount is much stronger. Now I'm just concerned about the strength of a screw holding the clamp halves together. I will be replacing this screw with a class 8 screw and eventually upgrading it to a suitable 1.5" rigid mount with no rubber inserts. I think it would be ideal for most people, but not in my particular situation with the weight and torque that comes with freeway cruising. I'm sure the rubber has been softened to fit more bar sizes, but I needed a more reliable bar mount with no movement.
