It's a bit shocking that these bits don't have a rating of 4.5 or higher. If you read the reviews you will see that many of the 4/5 star reviews are written by people who have no complaints but still give 4 stars. These bits are exceptionally well made. When I first started looking for the right set of chisels (new to fine woodworking but not new to tools and quality) I wanted a set good enough to get a respectable finish and also strong enough so I can use it in manufacturing If I switch to an expensive professional kit (e.g. Stanley Sweathearts made by the same company) I could still use that kit. They fully meet the requirements and have exceeded all expectations. The case they come in is also durable and of high quality. I appreciated the extra safety edges each bit has. Comparable sets exist, but many include an unusually sized chisel or two. This set is not fluff and not BS. The full stock construction, quality grip and balance, sharp edge and unique durable cap are all good reasons to buy this set on its own. In summary, I see no reason not to buy these chisels (whether you're building furniture or replacing door jambs) unless you're planning on purchasing a set of high-end professional chisels worth over $200. Great price and great quality.
