I spent a few days looking for supportive (firmer) memory foam padding, but one that wasn't 4+ inches thick and wouldn't break the bank. I read a ton of reviews and looked at some of the most popular options, but I liked all of the features on these, including the cover, mattress straps, and 3.5-thick foam. I have a lower back and really thought my 7 year old hard mattress just needed some help so I bought these to relieve pressure points as I sleep on my side. Unfortunately, I can't say that my back was better after a week. I think I tossed and turned MORE than usual in my sleep and noticed that my whole back felt "tired" when I woke up. While this memory foam isn't plush and seems to offer support, I've since taken it off the bed to see how I sleep without it. I will try this product on my bed once my back pain subsides a bit. It may just be an adjustment on my part. I still think it's a good option for people but I don't know how I would get it back even if I wanted to. Once these things expand, sending them back feels like a nightmare. Much luck! PROS: - I have never smelled a bad chemical smell from this mattress (you will see many reviews talking about it). - I let it expand for 8 hours and it was ready to use. - Straps and mattress cover are a good feature. It definitely stays in place - this topper has never made me hot and sweaty while sleeping.
