I received this item for free as a Revain Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only ask for things I actually use and will use before writing a review. I had to replace a duvet as our current one was on its last legs. I've always preferred natural down over various synthetic downs, so I went with this one. My first thoughts when we got these were how flimsy they were compared to our current blanket. After using it for about a week I can say it is just as warm as our thicker duvet that replaced it. It also feels "lighter" than physical weight. I know I keep going back to our old comforts, but I can compare to that. So this new duvet is thinner and lighter, but still feels toasted in bed. It fitted easily into the duvet cover, and this duvet has loops sewn into the corners so it can be "fastened" to the inside corners of the bedspread. to prevent bunching or misalignment. After a week of use, the down filling seems to have stayed in place and I haven't noticed any lumps on the underside of the bed. If I had one complaint it would be the noise this blanket makes. As you move in bed, you hear a "crunching sound" as the covers move. This blanket's cover is cotton while our old blanket was silk or polyester (smoother fabric) so maybe it makes noise while our old one didn't. It's not unbearable, we just noticed it, as did our dog when she first jumped on the bed. But she still "nested" normally. Another point worth noting is that this comforter had no proper smell or odor. It was washed and dried before use. Other down products I've used in the past had an "odor" that lingered for a while. There was no noticeable odor coming from this blanket and I like it. As at the end of all my reviews, I wonder if I would really buy this item. In general I am satisfied. The noise I mentioned may change my mind over time, but for now I'll keep using it.
