ugh. There is no way of knowing if it is plain glass or if it is actually Swarovski. Most importantly, I can only wear platinum and sterling silver. My ears say it's impossible. I ordered platinum instead of silver and the box/packaging says it is gold plated which I am ALLERGY to! My fingers fog up. lost my good earrings. They return. I ordered 2 carats and they look bigger and not as real. I've moved away from the millimeter size. That's far. No wonder everyone struggles to find the right size. It is very confusing between the ratings and the size chart. My real earrings have a smaller platform and a lower cut. So no 2 carats look anything but artificial. For me it will be a failure.
