We have a 3-4 year old expensive $2k+ memory foam bed set that even though supposedly has a 20 year warranty has been making our bodies ache. In just a few years, we couldn't sleep on one side for more than 1.5 hours without waking up and having to switch sides and pain all night and in mornings. There are a lot of mattress toppers out there and we researched quite extensively. Narrowed it down and ultimately gave this one a try. It works! No or minimal pain since we added it and we don't feel any hotter than before. Also, it makes the bed feel more like a feather bed than the awful flat memory foam bed. I the future, we'll just by a Sterns and Fosters pillow top again for the 3rd time and not touch memory foam again. But, this topper saved the day, and we have been sleeping better for three days than in well over a year. It's a glorious new feel to the bed and probably a requirement for anyone with memory foam or older worn down or too firm of beds. This topper is just thick enough that it provides the extra cushion we need without being too squishy and heat absorbing like an egg carton or other overly cushioned foam product. It was worth it for us, for certain!
