Identical to OEM - Perfect fit

Ford Focus models with 2.0 liter L4 Gas DOHC engines have some problems. The Coolant Outlet, also known as the Water Outlet Housing, was installed on the 2000-2004 Ford Focus and the 2001-2004 Ford Escape with a 16-valve DOHC engine, as well as some other models des uses same year, uses black thermoplastic thermostat housing. (located on the right side of the engine). This black plastic housing is attached to the cylinder head with three bolts and sealed with a rubber O-ring on the side of the cylinder head. The seal is held on the housing by a plastic lip. This lip tends to crack over time. This is an inherent problem as the water outlet body o-ring will eventually deform and break, causing a slow but sure leak. Reaction of leaks with the water outlet housing of the thermostat. It's really a hassle to replace, has nothing to do with the product discussed here, but it requires tons of hoses and clamps to deal with to replace this water outlet body. Thankfully, there are plenty of instructions on the internet to make the job easier. If you are attempting to replace, please prepare yourself by purchasing the necessary tools and reading the process by googling "replace Ford Focus thermostat housing". "You will find a website known as Ford Hacks Dot com that lists all the necessary tools and detailed instructions on how to successfully replace this part. The part itself is as good as the OEM, it fits perfectly and so y I give you him five stars!
