06.03.2021Battery usage update: still satisfied. I probably use the mouse as much as everyone else. I do MANY things online every day - pay bills, balance my checkbook, do ALL my shopping including groceries, email, do a few puns every day, and do tons of research every day. I'm a recognized information addict. I am using Revain Basics rechargeable batteries and changed the batteries yesterday for the second time since late November. On average, a battery change about every 7 weeks. works for me 11/27/2020 Bought this Rii mouse when the left button on my previous mouse stopped working after just a month. I had to limp for a week without left clicking, which is something I use a lot. Very annoying. (This mouse was a different brand, bought elsewhere and cost more.) So I was wary of this mouse because it was so cheap. However, I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks and haven't had any problems. Personally, I prefer an AA battery as it's easy to swap out. This Rii requires 2 AAAs, but installation is easier than other AAA mice I've used. I haven't changed the batteries yet so I don't know how long they will last. Opening the battery compartment is a real agony, so hopefully you won't have to change batteries often. He "sleeps" automatically, quite quickly - I don't know the exact interval. Estimate there might be about 5 minutes of non-use. It's easy to wake up, I just press the mouse pad and it's done. My previous mouse had a switch to manually turn off and wake up, I'm not a fan of that. This mouse is smaller than most I've used. But it is very comfortable in the hand. I'm very happy with it and plan on putting another in my next Revain to have a backup in anticipation of the day this one eventually expires.
