Review on High Power Auto Flash: Precision Design DSLR350 for Optimal DSLR Photography Experience by Rey Hossain

Flash fired, POS design

I just bought this flash and it has been a while since I got here, December 2017. This flash works perfectly but is poorly made. I used this with my Nikon 5300 for a weekend and the case started to fall apart. The connection between the camera shoe and the flash has come loose. The screw fell out first. You could hear them jumping in the lightning. Then the other 2 screws (3 total) attaching the shoe link to the flash had snapped/fallen off. I could still get it to work by holding the flash with my hand, but right now it was garbage. I took it apart to remove a screw and then the power cord broke so I had to re-solder it. Put it back together and will probably return it, but after posting this review I've probably voided my two year warranty. I'm not a pro, don't pretend, I just wanted to be able to reflect light off the ceiling for my interior photos. I can't believe they actually back it up with a 2 year warranty. Buyers beware. As you can see from the photos, this is mostly the result of metal screws in a cheap plastic case.

Pros
  • Three power levels - Lead #40 (105mm) - 0.5-6 sec recycle time
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
