I received this item quickly. The packaging clearly states what to expect in terms of potential odor and fluff requirements. The smell is a little chemical but as with any new bedding straight out of the box it's to be expected. The smell will dissipate within a few hours. The instructions recommended laying the quilt flat to allow the lint to rise, which it did. I also put it in the dryer with a tennis ball and towel to dry for 20 minutes without heat/air. It really swelled. It's not as fluffy as the picture shows, but is every duvet (at this price) really that fluffy? It's still damn hot. For those who are pissed off by their comforters rustling (needs to loosen up a bit and let your hair down. You haven't suffered enough in life if you only have to complain about comforters rustling), this comforter has minimal rustling and the cover is cotton soft so you'll be sure to sleep without tossing and turning in a blanket that can be compared to a plastic bag. The only reason I gave this duvet 4 stars is the lack of truth about the contents of the duvet. Revane calls this article goose down; However, the label on the duvet clearly says "75% duck down, 25% duck feathers". The feathers don't tingle or puncture the cotton, and so far not a single down has come loose. Also, if you have a full bed, please note that this blanket is INCREDIBLY HUGE (90 x 90 inches) so it will most likely touch the floor. This item is light and beautiful. I've spent countless hours researching Revain comforters, going through every review and I chose this one and I'm happy with my choice.
