Edit: 4 years old and picking up steam. Practical carrying handle. Kitchen-sized garbage bags are perfect. Two years in the kitchen and no problems. Fire safety is a nice bonus. The glass creaks when the lid is opened, but this is remedied by lubricating the joints. As such, it's as quiet as plastic pedal cans, but much more reliable due to its all-metal construction. Oh, and putting a big biohazard sticker on the lid will take the industrial style up a notch.
