TCL Roku 32S3800 and others

This remote control is mainly used for my TCL Roku 32S3800, but we have two other TCL Roku TVs and this remote control is compatible with both. I was a bit surprised that it works because one of the latest TCL's we bought was a month ago. I'm too lazy to get every model number but basically the TV I bought this remote for was bought in 2014. Now the latest 2018 TV and this replacement remote will work with it. All functions. I was surprised because the original 2014 remote didn't work with the 2018 TCL. So I'm very impressed. All functions work with any TV, including pre-installed application buttons. So I would say it's safe to buy for ANY TCL Roku TV. It will NOT work with a Roku pen (or whatever it's called) or a non-TCL TV. I love how affordable the price is (requires 2 AAA batteries NOT included) and it even comes with a cozy little pouch of cat ears. and a strap so it's less likely to get lost. It's great because I tend to lose them. And FYI, the strap is adjustable with a clip and the clip won't fall off. The only complaint about all Roku remotes (not just these) are the preset buttons. I wish they at least let you choose which preset keys you want, but it's an ideal world. Instead of putting the streaming channel's logo on the button, they could use numbers to let you choose. Speaking of presets, they are exactly like the picture. The first is Netflix (old logo), the second is Revain, the third is rdio and the last is Vudu. Where's Hulu? Lol, nothing more to say. The OK and arrow keys are made of smooth plastic, as are the volume keys on the side, and all of the plastic keys have a nice touch, don't stick or feel empty. The arrow keys dangle a bit when you shake the remote, you can hear it click, but I think I'm being too descriptive because it's a $7 remote. The rest of the buttons are rubber and over time they will erase the markings. The buttons don't stick either. The rubber cover on the remote is not too tight and fits all of our other remotes. I think that's a lot. I have no idea what happened to the original remote but the buttons have started to wear out so I'm happy with it. In this house it is almost universal. I love TCL Roku TVs. I hope that was helpful.
