I use this product to clean my mouth guard which prevents wear and tear from nighttime teeth grinding. I tried cleaning the visor with a regular brush like my dentist wanted but it didn't help get rid of the bad smell. I also tried the toothbrush. It worked better than a regular toothbrush, but it still didn't cut. Then I tried the Efferdent. Following the instructions didn't fully clear my defense. But I found out online that people thought it would work best if their mouthguard was soaked in Efferdent all day. Success! I have found that I have to rinse the protector very well after soaking to get rid of the odor that comes out. I would prefer no scent. Otherwise, an all-day soak works like a charm. 4 stars because soaking all day is inconvenient to use my mouthguard to sleep in the middle of the day and also cumbersome for travel. It would be better if it worked as fast as the instructions say.
