This is the second gimbal I bought. While I liked my previous one, this one is way better than a regular stabilizer for three reasons. 1) It has an elongated lever. Not only does this allow you to shoot from a different angle (above the crowd/people), but it also improves stability many times over, as it absorbs movement and shock much better than shorter ones. 2) Moving parts are fixed. While this feature doesn't seem like such a big deal, it is. This allows the user to keep a phone or camera connected to the gimbal even when you are not using it. I couldn't do the same thing with my previous gimbal (which didn't have this option) as it would move freely if it wasn't turned on. 3) The application required to use it with the gimbal is very well done. It's user friendly, easy to use and works great with my iPhone in my case (can't comment on the Android app - I only have an iPhone). Finally, it has many other functions like a tripod, so you can even use it like a regular tripod (a definite plus). I love this stabilizer and recommend it.
