I use several of these locks. They usually last 4 to 5 years. The one I just received didn't set the first digit correctly. After several attempts, it finally stopped working and got blocked. Raven replaced him. Masterlock needs to improve the quality of this lock. Unfortunately this is the only lock that suits my application. Would have been a great lock if better quality control was maintained. Received the second lock, following the instructions set the lock to 345 for a personal combination. The lock was jammed and would not accept 345 to open. I tried different combinations and found that at 234 the lock opens exactly one digit less. It has been found that by pressing hard on the installed wheels and turning them in the direction where resistance is felt, the blocking can be reset up to 345 combinations. Could never figure out what combination was in the first block. These locks have a manufacturing tolerance problem. that they do not interfere with the mechanism that sets the combination correctly. Compared to the first and second lock, the number wheels are installed at different heights in the housing. A good test of the quality of these locks at the factory would be to try a few combinations before shipping.
