Disappointing Tree - Seasonal Decor

I thought National Tree was supposed to be a decent line of artificial trees, most of the ones I've seen in person looked pretty good. I've bought a few $69-89 trees over the years and they've lasted 6-8 years which I thought was great, but they looked like a $50 tree. So this year when the family was visiting I decided to splurge and buy a pre-lighted one to save a little time and hassle with the lights as everyone will be there to assemble the tree. The wood itself didn't look any better than the cheap one. that I previously bought. We took it out of the box and started assembling it (there's really no indication of how the bulbs should be connected together or where, so all you have to do is pull on the wires until they reach each other). When we started branching and adjusting them, we found that two of the spikes on the ends were completely broken. Several branches were so bent that it took some effort to straighten them so that they fell and lay flat. Put everything together and then you could see that the entire tree, the main pillars that hold it up, were curved and tilted. I just told everyone to just decorate it and I'll throw it in the trash after this season. Definitely not a tree to spend money on. You're better off buying the cheap non-prefilled ones, they've worked better for me over the years. Yes I could have sent it back but it was for a family reunion so why ruin it with terrible craftsmanship. But I would definitely not recommend this tree to anyone if it is the best they produce.
