I have 2 pairs of these shoes. I only bought them for running. Your 1st generation was a little weak on the upper rubber part and broke on the 2nd day. The 2nd generation shoes are much better constructed and the rubber upper is smaller and thicker. They might not be great for running, but the addition of gel insoles makes them quite comfortable for everyday use. I get a lot of "Wow, where did you get that? What is that? The sole looks cool!" comments from passers-by. I like them 👍 (Get the 2nd gen style like the red ones I'm reviewing here. They've gotten better 👍
