My son needed something he could walk and swim in. We have a ton of stickers and houseplants in Texas, and unfortunately, you can't walk barefoot on the lawn without stepping on something that wants to sting, poke, or bite you. While they won't protect against fire ants, they do an excellent job of allowing him to have fun in the garden without having to think twice. We also like to use them in the public pool to prevent feet from getting burned by the lava cement and to avoid nasty germs on the bathroom floor.
