This is very cute and I thought it would make the perfect gift for someone who loves cats and cooking. Gave it to her for her birthday yesterday. She loved it and couldn't wait to take it out of the box and try it out. DOESN'T WORK to my dismay. It ticks constantly and never rings or rings when it returns to zero. How embarrassing and incredibly frustrating to find out that my return window closed THREE days before her birthday so more money down the drain now. So much for careful planning and not waiting until the last minute to buy gifts. This is really making me reconsider Christmas shopping, especially in July. Refunds aren't usually a problem, but in situations like this it's beyond annoying and makes me question the need to pay so much for membership "perks".
