Doesn't work in shower
Unfortunately this method doesn't work in our shower drain which is about 2.5 inches wide and has a long vertical reach before the bend. The problem is that the small rubber extensions are too short. After 2 weeks of use, they didn't stick to long or other hair. You can help fish hair out of our tub that has one of those pesky pop up tabs that can't be removed. Just use a 4.5 inch plate strainer for your kitchen sink. Remove the grate above the shower and put it in place. Fits perfectly.
