I love these things, great for a family where 2 people have long hair. Really helps with proven clogs AND is cheaper than drano!

You'll still get the occasional clog, but this product will definitely catch hair that's going down the drain. We use it in the shower.

Works great! Seriously - I have long thick hair, I always poured a drain in the shower to unclog it. No longer! I only change them monthly, no clogs, no harsh chemicals. These are the best!

I have this in my shower. He collects the hair but unfortunately he collects the hair from ABOVE and forms this giant hairball in the shower. He also collects hair in the drain. When I go to the cleaners I usually have to cut the cord as it's impossible to get it out of the drain with hair on both ends.

Pulled out of the drain to clean, the metal beads rusted and broke off the plastic flower. I had to fish them out of the sewer - Speaking of clogging! I would have sent them back but I just missed the return box. Super disappointed. Only use them if you plan to take them out and swap them out frequently. Can't stand long-term use!

After a few months of use I pulled it from the drains and replaced it. To my great surprise, the chain rusted and fell apart. So I couldn't get the old chain off and now I have to figure out how to get it out of the oil pan. Not good! See attached photo. I would recommend that you pay a few bucks more and get the branded version of this product (Drainwig).

Not sure why suction is a category as it doesn't have suction. It seems to be working well enough while I have it installed. My hair isn't very long, so it's not all on the chain. After about 3 weeks the chain was rusted through and most of it went down the drain. Good idea, good price, but rust is a big problem. Might work for you and be affordable enough to try but wouldn't recommend due to this rusting/breaking issue.

Unfortunately this method doesn't work in our shower drain which is about 2.5 inches wide and has a long vertical reach before the bend. The problem is that the small rubber extensions are too short. After 2 weeks of use, they didn't stick to long or other hair. You can help fish hair out of our tub that has one of those pesky pop up tabs that can't be removed. Just use a 4.5 inch plate strainer for your kitchen sink. Remove the grate above the shower and put it in place. Fits perfectly.
