The asus official website says that the k53sv model supports up to 8GB - apparently it was written at a time when 8GB dies were a fairy tale. The Intel website clearly states that the chipset supports up to 32GB of RAM. The laptop originally had 6GB - 4 and 2GB dies, respectively. I chose kvr1333d3s9 because of the full compliance with the characteristics of my native memory - I replaced the 2xgig one, as a result, 12GB came out. It works like clockwork, no complaints, now the laptop does not choke while working, for example, Adobe After Effects in conjunction with Premiere. The system boot speed also accelerated a little, but the speed pulls down the hard at 5400rpm. Anyone who doubts that their laptop supports more than 8GB - look at the characteristics of your chipset (the main thing is not to forget to look at the memory frequency, because personally it didnโt make sense for me to take the 1600 MHz version, because it would still work at 1333), and boldly put at least one or two such dies instead of relatives.
