This is an update. We have used it under our umbrella and it works great. So great that we did order a second one!
We haven't had a chance to use this under our umbrella because it is in storage for the winter. We have held it outside while quick cooking on the BBQ and it provided sufficient light. Eager to see how the clamp fits on the umbrella pole. If all goes well, we will be ordering a second unit.
