earrings were on a plastic pad but not in a box. They were put in an envelope like this one and when I got them one of the earring pins was sticking out of the paper envelope they were in and both pins were bent. I was able to straighten the posts by hand but still they don't look like the picture. They look the same but the best way to describe what I received is a cheap replica of the item pictured.
