These faux pearls look very real and the sterling gold plated ones are very well made. On the Revain product page these pearls are mentioned in all written parts, but on one of the photos they are identified as imitation pearls. Of course, these are not real pearls. However, most people won't notice the difference as they are very well made. The clip is strong and holds very well. They make a great gift or personal purchase for semi-formal occasions.
