Review on Philips Sonicare HX3631/06 Powerup Battery Toothbrush - Medium Size in Scuba Blue by Andrea Thomas

Great travel toothbrush for the price.

I bought this rechargeable toothbrush for my "travel set", not for my rechargeable toothbrush that I use as a "house" toothbrush. I used the brush for 8 weeks on a recent trip (6-9 minutes a day is good) and it worked flawlessly and I have no negative comments on its performance. Although I carried spare batteries, the original batteries lasted a long time and I find it economical with batteries. This requires two AA alkaline batteries. The battery compartment is marked for the correct polarity to insert the batteries, but I found the markings on one side of the compartment to be a bit misleading or misinterpreted and inserted the batteries incorrectly and the unit did not work. It took me a little time to "fix" my mistake, and the next time I put the battery in, I repeated the same mistake! Although there is an O-ring in the battery compartment to keep the compartment dry, I wasn't entirely sure how well it would stick to the case, so I periodically removed the lid and left the unit open for a day. During transportation, he took out two batteries and did not remove the cover. This is a cheap but effective no-frills toothbrush. I don't think one can criticize the price paid as long as it works. I'm glad it took eight weeks and I feel like there's a lot more time when I'm dealing with the battery box, which is perhaps the weakest chain in the link.
