I had a Roland VR-3EX and liked some of its features (like the customizable PIP) and in my opinion the layout was better. But considering it has all 1080p inputs, it's worth the money (I mean, who actually uses 480p feeds unless you do very little web streaming? You're not good at reading spreadsheets anyway. than PC source from an old VR-3EX ). ). In general there are no complaints. I can't give 5 stars because I really miss some features of the VR-3EX. I hope Roland just adds more and doesn't take away some features. All in all, it's a RELIABLE package and our church loves it. I miss the 1/4" headphone jack and 3.5mm jack on the bottom like the VR-3EX. The case size is large and fits in the rest of my laptop backpack when playing other gigs. I've found that the HDMI output doesn't work well with active HDMI cables, so it's good to have an HDMI extender handy or just run a shorter cable to the HDMI main distribution amplifier.
