I bought these laces because since 2013 I’ve only ever purchased "lock laces” and they are much more expensive for only one set of laces that aren’t as thick. I only like reflective laces in tennis shoes so these fit the bill. I had wanted to get the package with gray laces in it also however then I couldn’t get the solid black and solid white for work shoes. so my tennis shoes are sporting black laces but they’re gray shoes, I think they look ok. The laces went into the shoes with no problem at all thanks to the nice finished ends of these laces, then I added the round choke piece and tightened the shoes to where I like to wear them, then I walked about the house for a while without trimming them to get the correct feel, loosening and tightening as necessary. Then I clipped the laces to length about 3 inches longer then choke, burnt the cut end to prevent fraying then placed inside the clip and squeezed the clip until it clicked! Perfect!
