This jacket is very cute but if you wash and dry it you will need to order at least one size up even at the bottom end , but maybe 2. I wanted XXL (18) for him to wear next fall over sweaters and such, but instead it fits him now. After washing and drying it seems to fit at most 14 or 14-16. I haven't used hot on any of them, but they still shrink, and I absolutely refuse to dry my baby clothes just because companies don't pre-shrink their fabrics before production. So if you really need 18 I say skip this and find something better
