They were fine but partially damaged.

I wanted tin cans as a base for a 10th birthday present. They are only tinned and the big problem is that they came in fragile packaging and some of them were dented. I only needed 2 to be perfect and that's what I got. I have painted/decorated them and clear coated them and they have held up well. Even crumpled ones are sealed well and can be used for their intended purpose. Just be aware that they may not be in perfect condition.
