I've never used a ruler to cut circles but had a quilt in mind that I wanted to try and thought it was time to try one of these. I was not disappointed. I did NOT purchase the included rotary cutter, it is sold separately. I've used my Olfa 28mm circle cutter for a few circle sizes with some success. For the ones that didn't work I just used a marker and cut them out with scissors. Maybe I'll use the ruler like this in the future. It was easier than maneuvering around a spinning cutter and it didn't really take that long! I'm happy with my purchase and even happier that I didn't have to buy a special disc cutter.
