It really works. The smooth finish is the traditional part you'll find on most lint brushes, which is fine for a small amount of lint on your dark-colored pants, but not very effective for anything else. Rubber bristles are great. I made a short video using it on my cotton/angora sweater that has become my enemy. Usually only a thick ribbon is suitable for collecting endless fluff, but it is inconvenient to use. This brush actually picks it up and it's easy to just rip it off. I've used it before on a black shirt and the color faded a bit to the white stubble but didn't make it onto the pink sweater.
