The seller is offering me a bribe to remove this review! Don't believe the reviews for this product!

UPDATE: Another update. I've received 5 more emails from different throwaway email addresses more and more offering me to remove my review for up to $40 now. After leaving a previous review, the seller emailed me twice claiming it was Revain customer service. and asks me to DELETE my review in exchange for an additional $15 and then a $25 refund on top of my refund. DO NOT trust the reviews for this product. They are undoubtedly faking their reviews and the average 4.X rating should NOT be trusted. You have been warned!<<<Here is the email the seller sent me:>>>This is an email from Revain Customer Service. Thank you for our purchase and for taking the time to write a review. We sincerely take your feedback and we are very sorry that the product had a problem. Now I have a request. I hope you can help us remove your review and accept our compensation. Please trust us that we will keep changing and improving its performance. You know, actually, we always believe the item is good, and many people like it, but you know accidents sometimes affect happiness. It's really unreasonable to ask you to remove it. But please understand that we are just a small business and negative feedback really hurts. Because it has a big impact on us. We all have families to support. If you don't mind deleting our review, we can issue you a PayPal or Revain (25) gift card within 48 hours for the problems we cause. You do not need to return the item.<<<Final Seller Email>>>PRIOR REVIEW: Nice design, poor quality internal parts. Unreliable and breaks easily. When I received the mount I unlocked it with the red switch and tried to open it. When I tried to open it my hands got stuck and it took me some effort to open it. I installed the mount on my phone and installed the pad according to the instructions. Everything worked fine after that, so I went and installed it on my bike. Everything was fine until I tried opening it and putting the phone back inside. This time the lower right arm is stretched without the others and is now moving out of sync with the other arms. Look at the picture to see what it looks like. The screws on the back that secure the device aren't even inserted straight. I removed four screws to take a look inside. You can see that in my photo. A simple spring is attached to the plastic gear. I could re-sync the lever with others, but I wouldn't trust this mount anymore. Cheap aluminum levers can easily slip, plastic gears break easily. I'm sure none of the internals will last a reasonable amount of time in the sun or in inclement weather. The same design with some better (proper) metal internals would probably be a good product, but I don't recommend this product as is. Given the poor workmanship, I have concerns about the accuracy of the reviews for this product. I would be afraid to mount an expensive phone on a bike with such a cheap and unreliable mount.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
