I bought two pairs for my 5 year old son to wear at home on cold winter days (and also under pants when we travel to cold places). They are a bit big now so I would say they are perfect for a 5-6 year old but they may or may not fit when he is 7 years old. Washed once and noticed no shrinkage. They seem so comfortable I would recommend them.
