The original Kexmy was received in an opened box, some contents were missing. It wasn't taped shut. Raven has been replaced. The second box was received with a broken seal and a message that said something along the lines of "Do not return to shelf and do not resell if seal is broken". This box contained most, but not all, of the components. We kept it and let it run for a few days. He rarely caught fruit flies, even though he was sitting next to a bowl of fruit that lured them. After a few days the engine started to get louder and it still didn't catch many fruit flies. We returned it and bought a Katchy Indoor Fly Trap. It's stronger, catches a lot more fruit flies, and costs the same as Kexmy.
